Authorities said a 25-year-old woman died in a collision on a rural road in the southern part of San Diego County on Wednesday.
The California Highway Patrol reports that at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, the Dulzura homeowner was operating an eastbound 2010 Hyundai Elantra when it swerved to the left crossing SR-94 east of Otay Lakes Road in Jamul for unidentified reasons, overturning onto a roadside slope.
According to CHP public affairs officer Jasmine Lopez, the driver was ejected and trapped beneath the car because she was not wearing a seat belt.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman, whose name was withheld until her family was notified, passed away at the scene of the collision.
According to Lopez, the probe is still ongoing. Alcohol and/or drugs are not thought to have had a role in the collision.
