Woman in custody in connection with Escondido stabbing death

According to authorities, a San Diego woman was being held Sunday in relation to a man who was stabbed to death at the Escondido Transit Center.

According to Lt. Ryan Hicks, Escondido Police Department officers were called to the 700 block of West Valley Parkway at approximately 8 a.m. on Saturday after receiving a report of a male who was bleeding and down at the transit center.

They started first assistance right away, and paramedics brought the sufferer to Palomar Medical Center, where he passed away.

Detectives detained San Diego resident Kandilaria Freeman, 33, on suspicion of murder within a few hours and lodged her into the Vista Detention Facility. According to Hicks, she was put on a no-bail hold for violating her probation.

Detective Greg Clark at (760) 839-4450 or the Escondido Police Department at (760) 839-4722 were urged to be contacted by anyone with information on the death.
