On October 2, the Wine D Vine, an exciting event, will return with a fresh focus and emphasis on philanthropy.
The Fostering Hearts Legacy Award will be given to Jim and Leslie Levinson in recognition of their lifetime commitment to enhancing the lives of foster children.
Wine D Vine, held at the Solana Beach residence of famed chef Jeffrey Strauss, is a fundraiser for the kids, teens, and families that Walden Family Services serves in addition to being a magnificent evening of exquisite wine and cuisine.
Teresa Stivers, CEO of Walden Family Services, expressed her excitement over this year’s honoring of Jim and Leslie Levinson. Their kindness, generosity, and leadership have made a lasting impact on the foster care community as a whole, not just at Walden. The extent to which they have changed lives is reflected in this award.
As the current chair of Walden’s Board of Directors, Leslie Levinson has been a child advocate and supporter of educational opportunities since 2012. She founded San Pasqual Academy and the Polinsky Children’s Center and has experience in higher education and nonprofit fundraising.
