by Two of its care partners, Sanjay Patel and Fidelia Underwood, have been nominated for the 2025 Home Care Association of America’s Caregiver of the Year Spirit of Caring Award, according to Griswold Home Care for North San Diego.
According to a news release, both have received 100% client satisfaction ratings and are acknowledged for their contributions to preventing caregiver burnout, lowering family stress, and avoiding needless out-of-home placements that further the San Diego Regional Center’s goal.
At the HCAOA conference in Dallas this October, they will now compete to become West Region Finalists and possibly win the national prize.
According to April Kohnen, Director of Home Care Services at Griswold Home Care for North San Diego, this honor honors the exceptional expertise and compassion that Sanjay and Fidelia bring to their job each and every day. They are the epitome of what it means to help people live in the places they love with joy, safety, and dignity.
