Two killed in Oak Park murder-suicide identified

A man and woman were recognized by police as having been slain in Oak Park early on Saturday, July 26.

Michelle Booker-Stewart, 51, has been named as the victim. The man at the house was also recognized by the police as Nathaniel Stewart, her husband, who is 57 years old.

According to a release from the San Diego Police Department, the incident seems to be a murder/suicide. The community is not known to be under danger.

The man was shot in the torso, and paramedics from San Diego Fire-Rescue attempted to help. But she passed away right there.

Nathaniel Stewart was found dead, according to the police, after he shot himself in the head.

The inquiry is being handled by San Diego Police Department homicide investigators.
