According to authorities on Saturday, San Diego police officers have closed two suspected illegal gambling establishments in two days, confiscating cash and slot machines and making 21 arrests.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the first site was a private home on Fairmount Avenue in the Azalea Park neighborhood early on Thursday morning.
Twelve illegal gaming machines, two firearms, ammo, drugs, and over $1,000 in cash were discovered by patrol, SWAT, Vice, and FBI Violent Crime Task Force officers after they served a warrant there, according to police officials.
Eight persons were taken into custody by officers on drug and gambling-related charges, according to officials.
According to authorities, the second bust occurred at Rocky’s Market in the Teralta East area.
While trying to apprehend a suspect, officers allegedly stumbled onto an illicit gaming enterprise, according to officials.

Nine gambling machines, $477 in cash, and an imitation handgun were seized when the Y obtained a warrant, according to the police. Four individuals were taken into custody.
According to the SDPD’s statement, these illicit gambling dens bring more than just wagers; they also bring crime, drugs, violence, guns, and ongoing disruptions for nearby residents.
