In the far southeast corner of San Diego County, a brush fire started late Friday morning and has since been contained. Additionally, all warnings and orders for evacuation have been canceled.
At around 11:23 a.m., the Roadrunner Fire broke out northeast of Roadrunner Lane and Moonlit Trail in Boulevard, burning 10 acres and posing an immediate structural hazard due to its moderate pace of advance, according to CalFire authorities.
Within an hour, it had grown to 25 acres, and by just before 1:30 p.m., it had grown to 88 acres.
At this point, 15% of the brush fire has been contained.
A level 3 evacuation order was issued by CalFire San Diego for regions north of Interstate 8, west of McCain Valley Road, and east of Ribbonwood Road, which extends into portions of the McCain Valley.
Furthermore, areas north and east of the evacuation zones, including as Lark Canyon and the Tule Lake region, were under evacuation alerts.
A temporary evacuate site was set up at Golden Acorn Casino, 1800 Golden Acorn Way, in Campo.

Conditions are challenging for firefighters on air tankers, water-dropping aircraft, and ground troops. Even though the region’s heat wave is ending, the isolated location is still extremely hot—above 98 degrees. Furthermore, the National Weather Service reports that the humidity is only 10%.
