This week’s Pet of the Week is Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s loving 8-year-old domestic long-haired cat, Lily. Lily, who weighs eight pounds and wears a gorgeous brown tabby coat, is as laid-back as they come and is looking for a new family to call her own.
The tale of Lily is one of perseverance. Her owner’s allergies led to her initial surrender. She spent seven months with her adoptive family after finding a new home before a new relative who is similarly allergic to cats came in, causing yet another heartbreaking change.
Lily is still composed and flexible in spite of the changes. She doesn’t hesitate to make new feline pals because she has lived with dogs and cats. Lily’s disposition makes her a perfect fit for practically any home, as shelter personnel describe her as laid-back and gregarious.
A complete medical examination, spay operation, current vaccines, and a registered microchip are all included in Lily’s $75 adoption cost. A kind Humane Society philanthropist has agreed to eliminate her adoption fee for adopters 60 years of age or older through the Seniors for Seniors program.
