The anticipated jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery is $216 million because no tickets were sold with all six numbers in the most recent drawing.
The Mega Millions Consortium, which runs the game, reports that two tickets with five numbers but no Mega Ball were sold in New York. The value of the two tickets is $2 million and $3 million, respectively. The sum might vary from $2 million to $10 million and is determined by multiplying the multiplier by one million.
The Mega number was 16, and the numbers that were drawn on Friday were 4, 17, 27, 34, and 69. The prize was projected to be $198 million.
The drawing was the 14th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
