This month, Nick Alex, a resident of Rabun County and self-described citizen candidate for Georgia’s 9th Congressional District, is traveling the state to meet with residents and discuss his outlook for the future of the area. According to his campaign, Alex has been going across the district to speak with locals about their worries and objectives.
Tonight, Wednesday, August 13, Alex will be at the Habersham Recreational Center in Clarkesville. To meet Alex, ask questions, and find out more about his platform, voters are welcome to stop by at any time between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. The Center may be found at Paul Franklin Road, 120.
Alex’s campaign has set another rally in Gainesville later this month in addition to the Clarkesville stop. The Gainesville Civic Center’s Chattahoochee Room, located at 830 Green Street NE, will host that Open House on Thursday, August 28 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The public is welcome to both events.
According to Alex, who is running as a Democrat against Athens incumbent Republican Andrew Clyde, these events give people a chance to speak openly and directly about the problems influencing the future of Northeast Georgia.
