Nathan Deal remarries in intimate ceremony, celebrates new chapter

According to the AJC, former Georgia Governor Nathan Deal and Brenda Micali exchanged vows in a modest ceremony on Saturday in Arnoldsville, east of Athens, both physically and symbolically. Following the vows, the pair tied the knot while holding a large rope in front of the guests. Deal joked during the ceremony, which made everyone laugh.

For Deal, whose first wife, Sandra, passed away in 2022, the ceremony symbolized a happy new beginning. His life is still influenced by her legacy as an advocate for literacy.Carrie Deal on Facebook

After both of them lost long-term lovers, Deal and Micali reconnected. Deal’s fraternity mate, Tommy, was Micali’s. A connection based on mutual understanding and grief was sparked by a phone conversation on the use of one of Tommy’s favorite quotes from Deal’s book.

According to Carrie, Deal’s daughter, it required patience and compassion. And Dad had a lot of guts. “Mom would have wanted him to be happy,” she continued.

According to family and acquaintances, the couple makes each other feel at ease. According to Carrie, it’s never too late to fall in love. She is beautiful, we are overjoyed, and most importantly, Dad is content.
