Little Rock, Arkansas – Officials with the Little Rock Police Department confirmed that a man shot by a North Little Rock Police Department officer after a traffic stop on Thursday was also the suspect in a shooting earlier that day.

According to a social media post on Sunday, LRPD officers went to a shooting shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday at a home in the 4800 block of Lovett Drive, where they found a man with gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and authorities stated that his status is stable. According to officials, detectives identified Jacob Goff-Stanick, 27, as a suspect in the shooting.

Later that morning, following an unrelated incident, police said NLRPD officers initiated a traffic stop on a car occupied by Goff-Stanick, who then began quickly walking away from authorities.

On Saturday, officials stated that Goff-Stanick was questioned and is facing many charges from the NLRPD, as well as accusations of first-degree violence from the Little Rock Police Department.
