On Sunday, a guy was arrested on suspicion of robbing another man in Ramona and threatening him with a metal rod.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect approached a Terre resident at Oak Apartments who was picking up trash in the 100 block of 14th Street at around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The culprit, Ruben Jimenez Jr., 40, came up to the man brandishing a metal stick and demanding his wallet. Officials say he then took the wallet the man gave him and ran away.
Later that day, the victim saw him outside a Bank of America in the 1400 block of Main Street, a few streets away, and reported him to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff s deputies responded to the scene and took Jimenez into custody.

After serving a search warrant, detectives allegedly located the car thought to have been used in the robbery, as well as the victim’s wallet and the metal pole.
Jimenez was detained on charges of resisting arrest and robbery. The San Diego Central Jail received his booking.
