Last year, the Lady Indians concluded their inaugural varsity season. Every game, including the team’s first two wins, appeared to be a program first. Now that season is over, TFS, led by coach Jenny Long, intends to move on to the next logical stage.
Katie Anderson, an All-Region player, led the offensive charge for Tallulah Falls, which finished with a 2-18 overall record last fall. Anderson earned her degree, but the program is definitely impacted by her diligence and commitment. Juliana Roberts, a junior who hit.297 with six RBI last fall, is one of the team’s four returning starts. Another reliable bat in the lineup will be fellow junior Abby McCoy (.286, five RBI).To expand, click TFS Athletics is the source.
According to coach Long, who highlights that the squad’s mentality is centered on progress and resilience, “I think our overall team play will be better both defensively and offensively.”
With Callie Craver, last year’s starter, no longer available, pitching will be the most challenge, but Tallulah Falls will turn to youthful eighth graders Zoe Shepherd and Ruby Sue Anderson to assist out. Bailey Crumley and Kaylin Pickett make up the senior group. Along with Joanna Miller, Gabby Heard, and Stephanie Celestin, Roberts and McCoy lead a formidable junior class.
Bella Kelman, Ellie Shaw, and Addy McClellon, all sophomores, complete the roster, as do the previously listed eighth graders. On August 1, the Lady Indians play their first game of the 2025 season in Gainesville. August 12 is also the home opener versus Gainesville.
