The Kind Hearted Campout is returning, so prepare for four days of yoga, music, campfires, and camaraderie beneath the stars. Bring your dog and pack your tent.
From October 2 to 5, the fifth annual all-vegan camping event will be held at Palomar Mountain’s historic Harrison Serenity Ranch. The ranch provides 67 acres of oak groves, hiking paths, an outdoor amphitheater, and expansive mountain views, making it the ideal setting for a long weekend of fun and connection. It is located just 100 miles south of Los Angeles and 55 miles north of San Diego.
According to a news release, The Campout is California’s first and only all-vegan camping festival, designed to unite activists, animal lovers, and inquisitive campers for an inexpensive, vendor-free event centered on community and renewal. Imagine exciting classes, games, yoga, art, dance parties, campfire jams, and lots of time to just relax.
In addition to sessions by Brittany Drake of The Protego Foundation and Brittany Michelson, creator of a shelter, author, and campaign specialist with In Defence of Animals, this year’s schedule features keynote speaker Jerry Friedman’s “Knowing Your Rights.” Gayatri Sehgal will lead yoga classes, while JustUs Entertainment’s Bianca Adriana will be back as the emcee.
Indeed, campers will receive a healthy diet. There are plenty of vegan favorites to go around, and all meals are absolutely free thanks to sponsors including Foods Alive, Bitchin Sauce, Grandy Organics, and LMNT Electrolytes. A complimentary event t-shirt created by a local artist is also given to each camper. Families are welcome, as are amiable dogs.

According to Rachel Hosler, co-founder of the Kind Heart Coalition, the Kind Hearted Campout is a fantastic chance for education, creativity, and connecting with friends who have similar interests. We are inviting animal lovers from all around the world to join us on the mountain for four days of enchanted, compassionate connection because we can create waves of good change when we band together.
Kind Heart Coalition, a nonprofit organization with headquarters in San Diego, organizes the Campout with the goal of bringing together kind hearts and compassionate minds via anti-speciesist and animal rights education.
