In preparation for the 2025–2026 academic year, Tallulah Falls School has appointed Jamie Jimison as its new head coach of track & field and cross country. In addition, Jimison will be the associate athletic director.
Jimison joins TFS from Piedmont University, which is close by, where he has been the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field since 2019. He coached five individual NCAA Championship qualifiers when he was in charge of the Piedmont teams, including the program’s first-ever track and field All-American. In addition to winning nine conference Coach of the Year honors, he led the cross country team to two conference championships and seven overall in track and field.
Jimison spent over ten years in the same role at Mount Mercy University (IA) before joining Piedmont. Highlights of his program included coaching 115 NAIA Championship qualifiers, 27 All-Americans, and two national winners. Additionally, he has served as a coach at Bethel-Tate Schools (OH), Union College (KY), and Berea College (KY).
According to Jimison, “I’m ecstatic and honored to have the opportunity to join the TFS family and continue to build on the strong tradition that Coach [Scott] Neal has established here.” I am forward to begin teaching these outstanding student-athletes and supporting them as they pursue their sports goals.
In 2024, the cross-country boys’ and girls’ state rankings were fourth and seventh, respectively. At the state championship event this past spring, the boys’ and girls’ track and field teams finished sixth and fourth, respectively.
Greg Neeley, the athletic director, said, “We are thrilled to have Jamie join our team.” The TFS community will greatly benefit from his enthusiasm, meticulousness, and dedication to working honorably.
