Home Start’s Thrift Boutique marks National Thrift Store Day with weekend celebration

On August 16 and 17, Home Start’s Thrift Boutique, located at 3611 Adams Ave., Normal Heights, San Diego, will celebrate National Thrift Store Day with a weekend-long event.

There will be music, decorations, discounts, and more at the event.

Customers can get 40–50% off everything in the store, including high-quality furniture, hand-poured candles, designer clothes and accessories, and back-to-school trends. The boutique has a carefully chosen assortment of lightly worn, immaculately maintained objects, arranged to provide a laid-back shopping experience with reasonably priced, unique treasures.

Every purchase helps underprivileged families. The money raised goes toward supporting Home Start’s Maternity Housing Program and other assistance for children and families who are at risk. Since its founding, the boutique has given young moms dealing with issues including homelessness, poverty, domestic abuse, bad areas, and unstable housing a safe place to work while gaining experience and career skills that will help them become independent.

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 17.
