Help plan White County’s future through joint comprehensive plan

White County, the cities of Cleveland and Helen, are inviting interested residents to attend a public hearing concerning the development of the White County Joint Comprehensive Plan.

The plan is required to comply with the Georgia Planning Act of 1989.

The hearing is intended to inform the public about the plan’s purpose and the planning process, discuss the Plan’s development schedule, and explain the city’s public participation process during the plan’s preparation. Interested citizens will also have the opportunity to have input on local needs and issues.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Meeting Room, located in the White County Administration Building at 1235 Helen Highway, Cleveland.

Even if you can’t attend the meeting, you can provide input online

here.

The surveys will be accessible through June 30. There will be other public meetings held throughout the summer. Check the

White County website

for meeting dates and locations.
