This week is predicted to be hot summer, with San Diego’s temperatures reaching their highest point on Thursday before returning to more typical temperatures for the season.
Tuesday will see a minor increase in temperature, while Wednesday and Thursday will see further warming.
According to the National Weather Service’s prediction discussion, Thursday’s high temperatures will vary from the mid-seventies to lower-eighties near the coast to the upper 90s to 105 for the Inland Empire and 114 to 118 for the lower deserts.
At higher elevations, high temperatures will be in the mid-80s; at elevations of 4500 feet and lower, they will be in the 90s to 100 degrees locally.
According to NWS San Diego, evening low temperatures will also stay high, barring any relief from the heat.
Friday will be cooler, but remain slightly above average.
