Girl, 13, suffers serious injuries in crash with teen driver

In the Black Mountain Ranch region, a 13-year-old girl was riding an electric motorcycle when she was hit by a teenage motorist, causing significant injuries, according to authorities on Monday.

The 16-year-old driver of a northbound pickup truck struck the youngster at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Sunday after making a left turn.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the girl’s right of way was allegedly violated by the truck driver, even though both cars were at the time facing circular-green signal lights.

According to police, the girl’s right femur was fractured. According to the agency, there was no suspicion of driving under the influence.

Officials asked anybody with information on the collision to contact San Diego Crime Stoppers or the SDPD at (888) 580-8477.
