The Mega Millions Consortium, which runs the game, declared that no tickets with five numbers were sold, yet the Mega Ball was absent.
The Mega Ball was number 22, and the numbers that were drawn on Friday were 18, 27, 29, 33, and 70. The jackpot was projected to be $140 million.
The drawing was the 10th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

According to the Mega Millions Consortium, there is a 1 in 290,472,336 chance of matching all five numbers and the Mega Ball. Overall, there is a 1 in 23 chance of receiving a prize.
Forty-five states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands all play the Mega Millions game.
