After what authorities described as a vicious gang assault, a violent altercation at a White County campground left two people hospitalized and four others facing felony charges.
On July 26, deputies were called to Low Gap Campground in response to claims of an assault and stabbing. Upon their arrival, they learned that a 20-year-old woman from Waco, Georgia, had reportedly been attacked by Krista Wilson, a 44-year-old resident of Lula. Authorities claim that the young woman stabbed Wilson in self-defense during the altercation.
The victim’s 58-year-old father was also assaulted during the course of the attack. According to investigators, he was pummeled while on the ground and smacked with a glass beer bottle, which caused a serious cut on his throat. He was taken in critical condition to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Wilson suffered severe injuries and was admitted to the hospital as well.
Investigators from the White County sheriff’s office concluded that a gang of four individuals—three from Lula and one from Clarkesville, Joshua Miller—attacked the father and daughter. Krista Wilson was accused of severe assault and violence. Deputies also made the following arrests:
Joshua Wilson (42) battery and aggravated assaultJoshua Miller (32) violence and aggravated assaultCharles Miller (39), violence, and aggravated assault
