Early morning crash in San Marcos sends driver to hospital

Early on Monday morning, a solitary vehicle collision in San Marcos left one individual seriously hurt.

At approximately 2:20 a.m. on Monday, paramedics were called to the scene of a car that had swerved off the SR-78 for an unidentified reason, crashed through a guardrail, and landed on E. Carmel Street close to Twin Oaks Valley Road.

According to reports, the driver was stranded inside the car for at least twenty minutes before firefighters arrived to rescue him.

The motorist was expected to live despite being admitted to Palomar Medical Center in severe condition. There was still uncertainty about the crash’s circumstances.
