Commerce Police host active shooter training at middle school

With assistance from the Jackson County Emergency Services and the Commerce and West Jackson Fire Departments, officers from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jefferson Police Department, Commerce Police Department, and Gainesville Police Department took part in the training. The department emphasized that community relationships are essential to the success of such exercises and thanked Commerce City Schools for granting access to their site.

Multi-agency training like this, according to officials, helps guarantee a quicker and safer response, ultimately increasing the security of Jackson County and the City of Commerce.
