Car strikes utility line, leaves dozens temporarily without power

In the Skyline area, a car damaged a utility wire Tuesday morning, momentarily cutting out electricity to dozens of people.

According to San Diego Gas & Electric, the interruption happened Tuesday at approximately 6:15 a.m. close to the intersection of Orville Street and Sweetwater Road.

According to the SDG&E website, a car has made contact with our electric system. Our teams are presently repairing the damage on the spot.

According to an update, 43 customers in the Bay Terraces, Skyline, and Paradise Hills subdivisions were without power, and 326 circuits were impacted.

Power was anticipated to resume to the impacted areas by approximately 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while crews were on the site fixing lines.

No injuries were reported right away, but it was unclear what caused the crash.
