Broadway-award winning musical ‘Shrek’ comes to Carlsbad Community Theater

This month,

Carlsbad Community Theatre

brings the swamp to the stage with the Broadway award-winning musical ‘Shrek’ — inviting audiences to fall in love all ogre again with everyone’s favorite green hero.

Directed by Mark Scott, the musical will run from July 25 to July 27. Based on the 2001 DreamWorks Animation film “Shrek,” guests will immerse themselves into a lively production of the story that includes Donkey, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad and more.

Scott has produced more than 100 productions and came out of retirement to lead the production. Joining Scott is choreographer Dewey Decking, a highly sought-after talent in San Diego and beyond. The music director is the notable Lyndon Pugeda, recently honored for his work at La Jolla Playhouse.
