In San Diego County, the average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline increased by three tenths of a cent to $4.547 on Saturday.
According to data from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, the average price is the same as it was a week ago, eight cents lower than it was a month ago, and eighteen cents lower than it was a year ago. Since hitting a record high of $6.434 on October 5, 2022, it has fallen $1.887.
In spite of robust summer demand and a minor rise in crude oil prices, California’s average gas price is remaining stable this week, according to a statement issued Thursday by Doug Shupe, corporate communications manager for the Automobile Club of Southern California. Thanks to a strong supply that keeps prices in check, drivers in a number of locations, including Bakersfield, San Diego, the Central Coast, Riverside, and Long Beach, California, are even witnessing little decreases at the pump.

The national average price increased by a tenth of a penny to $3.152 for the fourth day in a row. It is 1.9 cents less than a month ago, 32.8 cents less than a year ago, and two tenths of a cent more than it was a week ago. Since peaking at a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022, it has fallen $1.864.
