Alec Baldwin claims that compared to the several years before, the year since his trial abruptly ended with a dismissal has been much better, and the impact that period has had on him has been incalculable.
He said, “You don’t know how much it changes you when something as powerful as that happens in your life.” I am so different from who I was three and a half years ago that I cannot even begin to describe it. Additionally, I want to know what I want and don’t want, as well as how I want to live and not live my life.
Speaking to The Associated Press at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the 67-year-old actor discussed his thoughts on the simplicity, existential philosophy, and moral stance of Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, which has been around for 75 years.
A Snoopy figure in a suit stood close by, having posed for pictures with Baldwin, as he spoke.
In a preface to The Complete Peanuts 1977–1978, Baldwin stated that as a child, he read Schulz’s daily comic strip every day and came to the realization that Charlie Brown more than anybody else desired the things he desired.
The desire to have friends and to keep your friends near to you rank highest among those desires.
In the years that have passed, nothing has changed.
What man my age doesn’t find Charlie Brown relatable, please? He laughed and remarked, “Charlie Brown would have been me if he had been 67 years old, but he wouldn’t have been foolish enough to have seven (small) children.”
However, he strives to possess the traits of a different personality.
Lucy. I’d like to be Lucy. Lucy is the leader. He said, “She’s got it all figured out.” A brief moment of self-awareness causes her to hesitate.
Baldwin claimed that when the animated holiday specials first came out as a kid, he liked Schulz’s straightforward line drawings and the characters’ authentic situations, which were represented by actual children’s voices.
“I think it’s beautiful because it’s both simple and complicated at the same time,” he remarked.

Additionally, he appreciated Schulz’s readiness to include darker and more melancholic themes in tales of internal conflict that didn’t require antagonists.
He looked at Snoopy across the room and remarked, “A dog sitting on top of a dog house would have the same impact on you as, like, Nietzsche.” The dog ought to have been named Nietzsche.
There have been multiple distinct stages throughout Baldwin’s career. Early on, he portrayed rough boyfriends and spouses in supporting parts, such as Working Girl and Married to the Mob. He went on to play heroic lead roles in The Shadow and The Hunt for Red October.
Moving on to more notable roles, he demonstrated his talent for macho speeches in The Departed and Glengarry Glen Ross, as well as his comedic skills in seven seasons of 30 Rock and as a regular host and guest on Saturday Night Live.
His trial in New Mexico in July 2024 on an involuntary manslaughter allegation related to the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the Western Rust set in 2021 collapsed in the middle of the proceedings. On the grounds that authorities had concealed evidence, a court rejected the case.
“That day, I can’t believe it happened the way it did,” he stated. And because of the animosity and everything else that is contained in that entire circumstance, it couldn’t have been better for us in some ways.

The following stage is unclear. “I just want to move forward with my wife and my family,” he says.
He recently made an appearance on the TLC reality series The Baldwins with his wife Hilaria and their seven young children.
He claims that, like he did with his now-nearly-30-year-old daughter Ireland when she was younger, he has successfully sold his kids on Peanuts, particularly the Halloween and Christmas specials.
He observes that their personalities alternate between Schulz’s character qualities.
He claimed that these were the characters Pig-Pen, Linus, Snoopy, Schroeder, and Charlie Brown. I have to admit that they are Pig-Pen most of the time.
They also have a ton of themed toys in their home.
As a reminder to try to uphold love, generosity, and patience, he puts a tiny Snoopy figure among the items in his workplace.
According to him, peanuts are still in that zone. Let’s just make an effort to be decent people.
