Barbie Cafe, which is based on the well-known Mattel toy, transports guests to an enjoyable world where they can be anyone they want to be. The cafe opens in time for the annual San Diego Comic-Con and features a traditional roller rink, outdoor play area, retro-themed restaurant, and lots of photo ops.
After sold-out runs nationwide, Bucket Listers, the media experiences business that created the Barbie Cafe, is proud to continue working with Mattel to bring the Malibu Barbie Cafe to San Diego, said Derek Berry, president of experiences. Barbie is one of the greatest icons in history, and it means a lot to us to provide our community with unique experiences like this. We can’t wait for America’s Finest City to see what we have planned, just in time for this year’s Comic Con.
In between laps around the rink, fans may engage in a range of trademark interactive activities and special goods at the pop-up. Every $1 roller skate rental will result in a donation to Girls Inc., the cafe’s charitable partner. Additionally, there will be special activities including 21+ Skate Nights, Paint Parties, and Cupcake Decorating Classes.
