One day after rumors of Vice President JD Vance’s trip caused a modest demonstration against the Trump administration’s continued crackdown on illegal immigrants in the Southland, Vance seemed to be spending Saturday at Disneyland with his family.

A brief video that appeared to show Vance and two of his three kids at Disneyland on Saturday morning strolling through the park and riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was shared by the YouTube account @DisneyScoopGuy.

Although it was unclear if they were Secret Service agents, the footage also showed security guards in the park with bomb-sniffing dogs.

Orange County Republican Party chairman Will O’Neill stated on Friday that he was informed the vice president was in the county on a non-political visit with relatives. County officials were informed that a VIP was scheduled to land at John Wayne Airport on Friday, according to Orange County Supervisor Don Wagner.

Demonstrators gathered near Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue on Friday night after it was reported that Vance was lodging in the Anaheim theme park resort, probably at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.

As part of the Blue Star Books initiative, which provides books to military children, second lady Usha Vance paid a visit to Camp Pendleton, which is located close to Oceanside, on Friday, according to the OC Register.

Last month, the vice president also traveled to Southern California, visiting a federal mobile command center and multi-agency Federal Joint Operations Center in Los Angeles on June 20. He chastised local Democratic officials for what he described as promoting illegal immigration and the violence that erupted at the early rallies following the local raids that started on June 6 during his meeting with leadership and U.S. Marines that day.

If Vance decided to make an official visit, Orange County Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento stated that he would not object to meeting with him, but only if Vance was open to talking about his voters’ worries with the ongoing immigration crackdowns in this area.

Sarmiento, a Democrat, claimed that the police actions are frightening locals, closing our businesses, and causing people to live in fear.

Many people who are caught are kidnapped and subsequently deported without due process hearings, according to the supervisor, who stated that he believes some enforcement activities violate the constitution. As a result, many locals are afraid to participate in any public events or shop at nearby establishments, according to Sarmiento.

After businesses were hit hard by the COVID-19 epidemic and subsequently had to deal with the streetcar system’s development, Sarmiento remarked, “We have businesses barely hanging on.”

Republican supervisor Don Wagner stated that he has his own doubts and acknowledges the issues expressed over the manner in which certain immigration enforcement measures have been implemented. However, he maintained that criticizing a prominent elected official out of hand is ineffective.

Wagner stated, “Despite my policy disagreements, I went to an event when (former President Joe) Biden came here and didn’t protest or release a statement critical of Biden.” For me, having a conversation is preferable to simply telling someone to stay away.

We have questions for the administration, and whether you like it or not, he is the vice president, Wagner continued.

Wagner stated that he wants to know the criteria that Immigration and Customs Enforcement uses to determine who should be arrested.

How awful are they taking up, and are they letting go of worse people? “Wagner said.” We are unaware of that. Please help us comprehend.

Allegations against the Department of Homeland Security have been refuted.

It is abhorrent and completely untrue to say that people have been singled out by police enforcement because to the color of their skin. DHS claims that officers carry out their due diligence and that its enforcement activities are extremely targeted.
