According to base officials, Camp Pendleton will undergo live-fire training in the upcoming week.
According to the facility, the high-explosive munitions training is planned to last until July 20 and could be heard at any time of day or night.
The times mentioned are every day from midnight to 11:59 p.m.
A timetable made public by Camp Pendleton indicates that activities will take place from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Monday through Friday. High-explosive bombs are said to be fired into the Whiskey/Zulu impact regions during the exercise.
Marines will exercise with live-fire mortars in the same locations on July 20 during the same hours.

The north center portion of the base contains the Whiskey/Zulu impact regions, which are 5–7 miles from Fallbrook and 6–10 miles from Oceanside.
The base issued a warning that the sounds could be heard up to 50 miles distant, depending on the air conditions.
