Chula Vista launches free Bayfront shuttle for residents, visitors

Chula Vista city officials joined South Bay leaders this week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch a free, all-electric Bayfront Shuttle.

The ADA-accessible

Chula Vista Bayfront Shuttle

will run daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering rides between key locations including the Living Coast Discovery Center, Downtown Third Avenue district and the newly opened Gaylord Pacific Resort.

Bayfront Master Plan

, the shuttle supports expanded shoreline access and a broader network of free or low-cost transportation and recreational options for residents and visitors.

“The Bayfront Shuttle will connect our community to Chula Vista’s world-class waterfront,” said Mayor John McCann. “We’re proud to offer this free and convenient service to help residents and visitors experience our scenic Bayfront while supporting local businesses in Downtown Chula Vista.”
