According to a press statement from the White County Sheriff’s Office, a narcotics bust occurred in White County during a traffic check earlier this summer.
A multicolored Ford Ranger was stopped by deputies from the department’s Crime Suppression Units and Criminal Investigations Division on June 4 while they were on patrol along Highway 254 close to Westmoreland Road. Officers searched the car during the stop and found a significant amount of illegal narcotics.
Inside the car, authorities discovered about 60 Diazepam pills, 90 Oxycodone pills, and 7.5 grams of methamphetamine. Several things categorized as drug-related items were also confiscated by deputies.
The driver, identified as Cumming, Georgia resident Angela Woodward, 50, was taken into custody at the scene and is charged with several felonies. She faces the following charges:
