Young history buffs help plan Declaration of Independence party in Balboa Park

The 17-year-old identical twin sisters Lilah and Ava Daniels are assisting the House of U.S.A. at Balboa Park in commemorating the 249th anniversary of Independence Day.

Historical personalities will speak about their roles in the American Revolution at the event, which will take place on the park’s HPR International Lawn Stage on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to Lilah.

The twins say that performers will be disguised as Dr. Joseph Warren, William Lee, one of Washington’s slaves, George Washington, and Paul Revere.
