On Thursday, July 3, Clarkesville Library staff will be serving patrons outside the library until 2:00 p.m. Heavy rains on July 1 caused the city library to flood. Inside the library, box fans and Servpro air blowers are visible, removing any last traces of dampness.
Shawna Meers-Ernst, the library manager, stated, “We arrived at the mess yesterday.” As a result, we are making due and doing our best to assist individuals.
According to Meers-Ernst, neither the library’s inventory nor the building itself were harmed. The county was excellent. They were out here in no time. Since Servpro arrived immediately after them, everything has been handled expertly.
According to Meers-Ernst, the building will reopen on Monday. According to her, the moisture content is still too high to remove any of the fans.
The library won’t be fully staffed on Friday due to the July 4th holiday. The building’s furnishings will be rearranged and cleaned by library employees.
