Clarkesville woman found safe after disappearing from Hall County campground

Gainesville, Ga. Over a day after she vanished from a Hall County campground, a lady from Clarkesville has been found safely. Melody Cherral Butler, 68, was discovered in a nearby county on Wednesday night, July 2, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Around midday on July 1, Butler abruptly left the Gainesville, North Carolina, Duckett Mill Park where she was camping with her family. According to investigators, Butler does not drive and does not own a cell phone, which increased concerns for her safety.

On Wednesday evening, the sheriff’s office posted on social media to thank the public for their outpouring of concern.
