This week, the Habersham County Courthouse will feature a mobile monument to dead law enforcement personnel. The public will have the chance to honor those who gave their lives when the Beyond the Call of Duty: End of Watch Ride to Remember memorial trailer visits Clarkesville on Wednesday, July 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Beyond the Call of Duty, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to honoring law enforcement officers slain while performing their duties, is the sponsor of the memorial trailer. Photographs and testimonies of 164 cops who died between 2023 and 2024 are featured in the video.
Before getting ready for the 2025 End of Watch Ride to Remember, the trailer, which is usually a part of an annual countrywide ride, is now off the road and being shown in a few cities in northeast Georgia.
In recent years, the mobile memorial has traveled tens of thousands of miles:

2024 Ride: 22,000 km, 248 stops in remembrance of 2022–2023 fallen policemen

The 2022 Ride honors 608 officers with 21,700 miles and 268 stops.

22,600 miles and 197 stops during the 2021 Ride in honor of 368 officers

2020 Ride: 94 stops, 18,300 miles, in honor of 147 officers

The organization promotes departmental safety and training to assist reduce on-duty police fatalities, according to the Beyond the Call of Duty website: Our goal is to make sure that no officer is overlooked, that their families are aware that their loved one is not forgotten, and that they receive the understanding, support, and acknowledgment they need to go on.
The Habersham County Courthouse, 295 Llewellyn Street, Clarkesville, will host the exhibit. All members of the community are welcome to visit the memorial, which is free of charge.
