Celebrating #internationalwomensday2021! March 8 is International Women’s Day and The Bay Window wants to know how you are celebrating! This year’s theme is: Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World. Each and every one of us has been affected by this pandemic and women are certainly leading the frontlines! According to UN Women (2021), “Women are also at the forefront of the battle against COVID-19, as front-line and health sector workers, as scientists, doctors and caregivers, yet they get paid 11 percent less globally than their male counterparts. An analysis of COVID-19 task teams from 87 countries found only 3.5 percent of them had gender parity.” Today and every day, we celebrate, honor, and THANK those women!
