MCC suffers substantial damage after Tuesday’s storm

Muskegon Community College suffered considerable damage during Tuesday’s storm. High winds, hail, and severe thunderstorms wreaked havoc on trees, signs, and buildings on the campus. MCC officials indicated the campus would be closed Wednesday, Sept. 8; however, there is no timeline as to when power and facilities will be restored. MCC officials further noted, students, faculty, and staff may have problems accessing MyMCC, BlackBoard, email, and other systems as damage was more extensive than initially thought.
